Indonesia’s FinTech Association Appoints Maria Sagrado as a Member of Independent Ethics Committee

Maria Sagrado, a Partner in the Firm’s Banking & Finance Department, has been appointed by the FinTech Association of Indonesia as a member of its Independent Ethics Committee.

The Independent Ethics Committee will focus on improving consumer confidence and protecting their interests with regard to technology-based financial service providers – an industry that has grown exponentially in the past decade. The selection process was based on the competencies of the candidates, and their involvement in the FinTech industry.

Maria is a pioneer and is very active in the FinTech Association in Indonesia. She has been involved in various transactions involving FinTech companies engaging in Peer-to-Peer lending (P2P). Maria also assisted in drafting the P2P regulation issued by the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK).
