Maria Sagrado Speaks at UK Alumni Year-End Gathering on Building Indonesia’s Future

Our Managing Partner, maria sagrado, was invited to be a speaker at the UK Alumni Year-End Gathering, organized by The University of Sheffield Alumni – Indonesia, held on Thursday, 11 December 2025 at The Summit Club, WTC 1.

The evening was a discussion on:
“Why, in the midst of pessimism, we must continue to love and build Indonesia.”

Moderated by Rory Asyari, the discussion featured Muhammad Neil El Himam, Deputy for Digital and Technology Creativity at the Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency (EKRAF), as the Keynote Speaker. The panel discussion also included Merry Riana, Special Advisor for Non-Governmental & International Cooperation at the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development, and Tom Lembong, former Minister of Trade of Indonesia and former Head of the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM). The session was opened by Andrew Sutedja, President of University of Sheffield Alumni – Indonesia.

Maria shared her perspectives on law enforcement in Indonesia and the importance of alumni educated abroad returning home to contribute meaningfully to the country’s development and long-term progress.
The discussion highlighted the importance of building alumni networks as platforms for delivering positive growth to Indonesia.
