Vincent Ariesta Lie Speaks at SMU–Enterprise Singapore Jakarta Immersion Programme

On 19 January 2026, our Partner Vincent Ariesta Lie spoke at the Singapore Management University – Enterprise Singapore Jakarta Immersion Programme, held at Pullman Hotel Jakarta. The session was attended by young management associates from Enterprise Singapore, a Singapore government agency that supports Singaporean businesses expanding overseas.

Vincent shared insights on Indonesia’s macro, legal, and regulatory environment for doing business, with a particular focus on regulations affecting labour and foreign direct investment. His on-the-ground perspective complemented the participants’ prior research and helped translate regulatory considerations into practical business realities.

The session was opened by Dr Markus Karner, SMU Programme Director, and concluded with an interactive Q&A discussion. We thank Shoeb Kagda, Director of the SMU Overseas Centre Jakarta, as well as Singapore Management University and Enterprise Singapore, for the opportunity to be part of this programme. We hope the session provided participants with a more nuanced understanding of the macro, legal, and regulatory environment for doing business in Indonesia.
