NEW REQUIREMENT FOR VISAS ON ARRIVAL

May 01, 2012

As Visas on Arrival (VoA) are often applied for by foreign citizens traveling on emergency travel documents, on 29 February 2012, the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights issued Circular Letter of the Directorate of Immigration No. IMI-UM.01.01-1120 dated 29 February 2012 on the Use of Emergency Travel Documents by Foreign Citizens.

In principle, a VoA may only be issued to a foreign citizen who is holding a valid Travel Document/ Passport and VoAs will no longer be issued to foreign citizens holding only an emergency travel document.
