Makarim & Taira S. delivered Hukumonline’s training on Legal Aspects of Credit Agreements and Security Interests for Corporate Risk Mitigation on 27 November 2025 at Ashley Hotel, Tanah Abang, Jakarta. The event brought together corporate lawyers to explore risks and enforcement challenges in credit transactions.

The first session, led by Managing Partner maria sagrado, Partner Stephanie Kandou, and Senior Associate Lebdo Dwi Paripurno, covered corporate credit arrangements, the roles of parties involved, and duties of corporate organs. They also examined high-risk clauses, how to interpret them, and the criteria for valid and enforceable security documents.

The second session, led by Partner Rudy Andreas Sitorus and Senior Associate Made Susanti, looked at dispute handling in credit transactions, from negotiation and restructuring to litigation, highlighting common challenges in enforcing security interests. They also showed how weak drafting or documentation can affect creditor protection.
