Lia Alizia Speaks About Manpower and Immigration Laws with Philippine Business Club Indonesia

Last Monday, 28 October 2019, our managing partner Lia Alizia, together with our associate Rizanesia Citrasari, held a seminar for Filipino expatriates at the Philippine Embassy.

This is a follow up to the highly successful seminar held last year where members of the Philippine Business Club Indonesia (PBCI) raised queries related to the manpower and immigration laws in Indonesia – their interpretations and the “grey areas” within the regulations. Tackling “Employment of Expatriates in Indonesia”, Lia and Rizanesia shared the relevant laws and regulations in Indonesia that foreign manpower must be aware of; obligations of both employer and expatriates; restrictions on foreign manpower; and the procedure for employing expatriates.

In light of the ASEAN Economic Community, a briefing was delivered by the Department of Trade & Investment (DTI) of the Philippines, through its Commercial Attache Jeremiah Reyes.
