Infrastructure and Major Projects

Indonesia’s need for infrastructure is great, and the Government is keen to attract private investment in major public infrastructure projects.

We have participated in the development, financing and operation of several power plants, including the Cirebon IPP Project (financial close in 2010) and the Tanjung Jati B IPP Project (financial close in 2003) and expansion (financial close in 2009). The Tanjung Jati B expansion was recognized by Pacific Business Press Asian-Mena Counsel as the Deal of the Month in January/February 2009. We have also advised P&O Australia in its successful bid for a 49% stake in PT. Terminal Petikemas Surabaya, and have assisted with the restructuring of the PLN off-take agreement for the Wayang Windu Geothermal project and the related upstream Joint Operation with Pertamina.

As consultants to the Indonesia Infrastructure Initiative (IndII), we have worked on the development of implementing regulations for dedicated railways, performed a scoping study for the development of a toll road toolkit, and assisted with pre-feasibility studies for two major water supply projects. We also regularly act for potential investors in public tenders for major infrastructure development projects.
